Hello Fellow Landlords and Property Managers,
We are very excited to have Chris Seepe speak at our next meeting on May 14th @ 7pm at Keller Williams Energy Brokerage 285 Taunton Rd E, Oshawa.
Chris will be updating the attendees on the current status of the auto-evict petition on Feb. 21, 2024, and the recent meetings that could result in a favourable outcome for Landlords at the LTB – we are cautiously optimistic. If the result is announced before this DLA meeting, then he will discuss the outcome.
Chris will also update you on the newly-formed petition committee. One of the pivotal questions is whether to form another new association. With 39,000 prospective members or legal and advertising fund contributors, there’s a unique opportunity to create a single compelling voice for the small-to-medium housing provider industry that hasn’t existed for a long time, if ever.
We suspect, and actually expect, that there may be even more news by the date of this meeting.
If the update finishes early, there will be a Q&A period to ask Chris questions related to residential land lording, the housing crisis, licensing, vacancy tax, how to make your property more profitable, etc.
We encourage you to join in person for a more interactive experience, as we may not be able to address all the questions in the Google Meet chat.
